Spring Outdoor Soccer for Kids
This is the most popular program for groups and kids from 2½ to 17 years old. The program usually starts at the end on April of each year and runs to the end of June.
There are two leagues in this program:
1 – The in house league for the under 4 and under 6. All practices and games are in Skyview Ranch and Redstone and will be extended with time to Cornerstone and Cityscape.
This is an eight weeks program where kids have one practice and play one game every week. The game format is 45 minute practice/game combination on Mondays and a 30 minutes game on Wednesdays.
Games are small sided soccer with 3 players per side (3v3) and with no keeper. SRSA provides jersey, short and socks to kids registered in this program.
Every kid receives a medal and a team picture at the end of the league. Shin pad and soccer shoes are requirements for this program. Parents are expected to help the coaches and their team with equipment set up and take down as well as managing players.
Registration usually starts in early February of each year. There is usually a high demand for this program with limited spots. Register early if you want to make sure you reserve a spot for your child.
Parents are encouraged to buy the community association membership when registering their kids.
2 – The community league for the under 8 to under 18. Game and practices are in Calgary NE and NW in collaboration with other communities.
3 – Calgary Minor Soccer Association (CMSA) League. Kids and parents willing to be involved in competitive soccer will be organized in selected teams and affiliated directly or through other organizations to take part in the CMSA league.
